To protect, preserve, and restore North Tahoe rock and ice climbing areas for long term public access. This mission includes:
- Partnering with public and private landowners to ensure continued and future access.
- Working to make climbs and climbing areas safer by maintaining fixed hardware, managing trails, and collaborating with first responder teams.
- Working jointly with first ascensionists and local conservationists to preserve the area’s ethics.
- Providing services such as signage and toilets for the climbing community.
- Organizing community events and clean-ups.
The North Tahoe Climbers Coalition (NTCC) is a nonprofit, volunteer-run organization operating under the fiscal agency of the Truckee Donner Land Trust, working to preserve access to local outdoor climbing areas through stewardship, education, and community engagement.
